The bar is ready — and Building 2 is almost smooth

A focused update this week at Casa Pisces Ambergris Caye — two fronts, two big steps forward. The pool club bar has reached a milestone worth raising a glass to, and Building 2 is on the final stretch of its plastering before paint and tiles move in.

Pool club bar — finished and ready

The bar at Casa Pisces is done. The hardwood bartop — stained and sealed to a rich, lasting finish — is complete. The lights are installed and casting exactly the kind of warm glow a good bar deserves. The shutters are hung, ready to be thrown open to the breeze off the water or closed against the evening air. It is a proper bar now, not a construction zone, and it looks the part.

This is the space where guests will decompress after a day on the water, where the sun goes down over a cold drink, where the evenings at Casa Pisces will take on a life of their own. Seeing it finished — really finished — is one of the more satisfying moments this project has delivered.

Building 2 — plastering nearly complete inside and out

Building 2 is approaching the end of its plastering phase — and this update covers both floors, inside and out. The smooth cement render that was applied to the first floor exterior last week has been progressing up to the second floor, and interior plastering across both levels is nearly finished alongside it. When plastering wraps up, every surface in Building 2 — every wall, every ceiling — will be smooth, true, and ready for what comes next.

What comes next is paint, and paint changes everything. The moment colour goes on, Building 2 stops reading as a building under construction and starts reading as a hotel. We are very close to that moment now.
