Beams up, pylons in — and Belizean hardwood on its way | Casa Pisces Hotel Construction Update
Building 2 is approaching its roof. Building 3 has steel and concrete in the ground. And the furniture that will fill these rooms — handcrafted right here in Belize — is packed and ready to cross the water to Ambergris Caye. This is a big update.

01
Building 2 — structural frame complete, roof next
Building 2 has reached one of the most satisfying structural milestones of any build: the pillars, posts, and beams of the second floor are all in place. The skeleton of the full two-story structure is complete, and the building now has its final form and height. What remains on the concrete side is finishing work — the kind of careful detailing that prepares every surface for the roof pour — and that process is being wrapped up now.
The roof cast is next. Once that slab is poured and cured, Building 2 will be fully enclosed from foundation to rooftop, and the long interior finishing stretch — tiling, painting, woodwork, fixtures — begins in earnest. That's the same journey Building 1 has already made, and it's a good one.
✓ First-floor walls & roof slab — complete
✓ Second-floor pillars, posts & beams — in place
→ Remaining concrete work — being finished now
◦ Roof slab cast — coming very soon
◦ Interior finishes — tiling, painting, woodwork
WHAT'S NEXT
The concrete finishing work wraps up, the roof form goes in, and the pour happens. After that, Building 2 moves into the interior chapter — and the finish line comes into view.
02
Building 3 — steel and concrete in the ground
Building 3 is moving with purpose. The concrete and steel pylons are now fully in the ground — the deep structural anchors that everything else will rest on for decades to come.
With that done, the next step is pouring the foundation, which will mark the moment Building 3 graduates from groundwork to actual construction. It's a transition we've watched twice before with Buildings 1 and 2, and it never gets less exciting.
✓ Ground broken, site preparation complete
✓ Concrete & steel pylons — in the ground
◦ Foundation pour — next up
◦ Wall construction — to follow

MADE IN BELIZE. BOUND FOR AMBERGRIS CAYE.
The furniture is finished — and it's coming home
The custom-made hardwood furniture crafted for Casa Pisces is complete and ready for delivery. Every piece has been handmade using Belizean hardwood and finished with a rich varnish built to stand up to the island's climate — the humidity, the salt air, the years of use that come with a well-loved hotel room. These aren't off-the-shelf pieces. They were designed and built for these specific rooms, for this specific place.
The furniture will soon make the journey from the mainland to Ambergris Caye, where it will be carried through the doors of Building 1 and placed exactly where it was always meant to be. There's something full-circle about furniture made from Belizean wood finding its home on a Belizean island — and it captures the spirit of Casa Pisces better than almost anything else we could say about this project.
Building 2 is racing toward its roof. Building 3 is rising from the ground. And a fleet of handcrafted Belizean hardwood furniture is on its way across the water. The next update may well be the one where we share the first look at a fully furnished room. We'll see you then.
