The latest Casa Pisces Ambergris Caye construction update is a story of finishes: a building waiting on its final pieces of furniture, another getting its smooth exterior skin, and a bar that is beginning to look exactly like the place you'll want to end your day.
01
Building 1 — furniture on its way
Building 1 is complete in every structural and aesthetic sense — tiled, painted, wired, lit, and fitted with woodwork from floor to ceiling. What it is waiting on is its furniture, and that wait is nearly over. The custom-made, handcrafted Belizean hardwood pieces are on their way to Ambergris Caye and will be arriving soon. Once they are in place, Building 1 will be fully guest-ready — the first eight rooms at Casa Pisces open for business. It has been a long journey to this point, and we are savoring every step of the final stretch.
What's next
Furniture arrives, rooms are dressed, and Building 1 is officially ready to welcome its first guests. The next update may well include that announcement.

Building 2 — smooth render, nearly ready for colour
Building 2's concrete shell is getting its skin. The smooth outer layer of cement render has been applied across the entire first floor, giving it the clean, finished surface that paint requires to truly come alive. The team is now moving up to the second floor, where the same process will follow. It is one of those stages that looks deceptively simple from a distance but demands patience and a steady hand — any imperfection in the render shows up in the paint, so the work is done with care.
Once the second floor render is complete, Building 2 will be entirely ready for paint and tiles — the visual transformation that takes it from construction site to hotel. That moment is very close now.

Pool club bar — taking shape in all the right ways
The pool club bar is the update we have most enjoyed writing this round. What was recently a raw space is now being finished out with real character, and the details being added are exactly the kind that make a bar feel like a destination rather than a service point.

A detail worth dwelling on
The bar top that sets the tone
There is something about a well-stained hardwood bar top that signals to a guest that they are somewhere worth settling in. The grain of the wood, the depth of the stain, the way it warms under the light above it — these are not accidental. The bar top at Casa Pisces is being stained now, and when it is done it will be the surface where cold drinks are set down after a long day in the sun, where guests linger into the evening, and where the real atmosphere of this place begins to define itself. We cannot wait for you to pull up a stool.
Building 1 is days away from its furniture. Building 2 is one coat of render away from paint. The pool club bar is finding its soul. Casa Pisces is not just a construction project anymore — it is a place. We will see you in the next update, and it is going to be a good one.
